South African Wine Tasting Fundraiser

Join us for a special fundraiser in support of the South African School Project. This South African Wine Tasting workshop will help raise funds to directly support Mgidla High School, a low‑income school in KwaZulu‑Natal, South Africa, and its ongoing school building project.
At this wine tasting, we’ll learn about this history of wine making in South Africa, including the wine making regions and unique varietals. We will have the opportunity to sample some South African wines, as well as enjoy some delicious appetizers. At these event we will also learn about the story of this remarkable school, and the progress being made to improve educational opportunities for its students.
A suggested contribution of $50-80 per person is recommended, with additional donations warmly welcomed. All funds raised go directly to supporting the teachers and students of Mgidla High School.

English Conversation Night

Come join us for an English Conversation Night on Thursday, September 17 from 6–7:30pm!
At this free community event, English language learners from beginner to advanced levels, along with native English speakers, are invited to enjoy casual conversation, food, and beverages. People from all language backgrounds are invited to attend. We will form small groups to practice English conversation skills in an easy‑going environment. Food and drinks will be provided, and volunteers will be available to play with the kids—so please bring your families.
We will meet in the large room at the Latino Community Association at 2680 NE Twin Knolls Drive. If you would like to volunteer to bring food or help with English conversation skills, please reach out so we can provide more details. We look forward to seeing you there!
